Property Alert is an award-winning free property monitoring service aimed at anyone who feels a registered property could be at risk from fraud.
Once you have signed up for the service, you will receive email alerts when certain activity occurs on your monitored properties, allowing you to take action if necessary.
If this is the first time you are using the service you will need to create a new account.
What You Need To Know
- 1. The property you want to monitor must be situated in England or Wales and registered with HM Land Registry.
- 2. You must create a Property Alert account to use the service.
- 3. You will receive a HM Land Registry email (please check spam inbox) to enable you to verify your email details
- 4. You must then sign in to your account to add a property.
- 5. Email alerts are sent when official searches and applications are received against a monitored property.
- 6. If you receive an alert about activity that seems suspicious you should take swift action. The alert email will signpost you to who to contact.
- 7. You don't have to own a property to set up an alert.
- 8. The same property can be monitored by different people.
- 9. Property, especially flats/apartments, can be registered with two titles. Blocks of flats are often owned by companies (Freehold), and the person owning the individual flat (Leasehold). When registering for this service please choose Leasehold title for individual flats/apartments.
- 10. You can use the service if you are not online. Call the Property Alert team on 0300 006 0478.
You Can
- 1. Monitor up to ten properties.
- 2. Add or delete properties.
You Will Need
- 1. A valid email address.
- 2. The postcode or title number of the property(ies) you want to monitor.
